Early childhood is a crucial stage of life in terms of a child's physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. Growth of mental and physical abilities progress at an astounding rate and a very high proportion of learning takes place from birth to age six. It is a time when children particularly need high quality personal care and learning experiences.
Education begins from the moment the child is brought home from the hospital and continues on when the child starts to attend kindergarten. The learning capabilities of humans continue for the rest of their lives but not at the intensity that is demonstrated in the preschool years. With this in mind, babies and toddlers need positive early learning experiences to help their intellectual, social and emotional development and this lays the foundation for later school success.
Taking into the consideration the importance of early education in the life of a child due to the modernisation of the education system CCIS has started with a beautiful and tender junior wings. Admissions start right from age 3 years to the following grades-

World of Phonics
Why is Phonics Reading Important for the Child?
Phonics is a branch of linguistics where the sounds and physical properties of human speech sounds are studied. Phonics reading is highly essential in every child education. It is not uncommon to find parents who question the importance of phonics reading in the education of their children. Such parents believe that children will naturally master the different sounds of human speech since the ability to use language is innate in every human being. Children have problem in reading because they are not able to recognize the sounds of the letters of the alphabet in the words they read. Phonics reading will help children to recognize and associate sounds of the letters of the alphabet in the word they read.
Hence Cosmos Castle International School is pleased to say that we have implemented the learning of phonics right from junior classes so that the basics of the child are correct and the child is well versed with the language once he/she graduates to the senior grades.
Visits & Field trips
Memories of school Educational trips are among the most prominent of the formative years, largely because they are a welcome break in the routine for both students and teachers. While their purpose is essentially to educate, they can also be a fun bonding experience for everyone involved.
Such visits and field trips are being organised on a regular basis where proper care is being taken for child safety and make the trip an experience to cherish for a lifetime.
Indoor Play Area
The children choose from a variety of different activities available in the Indoor Play Area: block building, puzzles, kitchen play, transport toys, sorting objects. They initiate their own play, either alone or with other children. They learn how to work independently, take turns, share, and play cooperatively with others.
On special days there are variations in the daily routine for class field trips related to special interests, such as a visit to a local restaurant to see how food is prepared, to a bank to learn about money, to the park to look at leaves or to discover what lives under that rock. Special visitors like police officers, fire-fighters, or doctors are invited to speak to the children.
The whole idea is to help children develop skills, expand their skill sets, experience for themselves the various aspects of life and learn in the process. All facilities and activities in the schools are designed to develop important skills that become the building blocks for their future learning and life.
In the changing world, where education is evolving every moment and so is learning, it is time to place the “Child is the Curriculum” in a fresh perspective.
Every learner is unique and has his/her own way of acquiring knowledge, attitude, values and skills. Experiential learning, with real life associations and scope to generalize learning, to be able to solve problems, make decisions, forge constructive and meaningful relationships, communicate effectively, etc. are some of the skills that learners need to acquire, to be successful in life.
